Late in the summer, we start to see a lot of these flitting about in the yard. This one was kind enough to stop & pose for the camera. I once read somewhere that dragonflies have a lifespan of about 24 hours. Not sure if that's true; but, whenever I see one, I wish it a happy day. Because life is short, especially if you're a dragonfly!
