Teenager in the House

It's official. We have a teenager in the house. Again. Brett & I keep telling each other: "We can do this"...after all, we survived the twins' teenage years and there were two of them! Aaaaaah, but neither Michael nor Tasha were drama queens like this one. Plus, the twins also lived with their mother so we shared the teenage angst. Not this time around: she's all ours. Really, though, she doesn't seem addled with angst. Actually, she looks quite sweet & innocent in this photo. Certainly not a teenager to cause turmoil, no, not this lovely girl. Oh, don't you be fooled. She's smart, this one, downright clever. And so unpredictable. She knows just when to turn on the charm and just when to pounce with attitude! She can be oh so moody and stubborn {gee, I wonder where she got that?}. And yet, she has such an angelic look about her; a face and mind that can melt our hearts so easily. Oh yes, the roller-coaster is beginning to roll. Anyone hanging around here might want to heed the words of Bette Davis and "fasten your seatbelts...it's going to be a bumpy [ride]!"

my little girl is already like that, and am SO not looking forward to what the teenage years will look like.
