Yesterday was my Uncle Jimmy's birthday. Which, naturally, makes me think of him. He passed away last January. Too soon, too suddenly, he left this world. My world. So now, I'm missing him. Missing his voice, his laugh, his presence. Missing him calling me sweetheart. I think my uncle called all the females in his family "sweetheart", but it was always endearing, never condescending. Wishing I had another chance to say "Happy Birthday" to him. He'll always be missed, never forgotten.
