Amazing American Idol

Awesome. Amazing. An absolutely great time. That's the American Idol concert. It was a thrill to see the "idols" perform live on stage; it was an even bigger thrill watching my daughters at their very first concert. Lots of cheering, clapping, screaming & singing going on at the sold-out show a few nights ago. The girls & I were sure we'd all lose our voices the next day; but, no need to worry, our vocal cords survived! The performances, the lights, the music were all fantastic. The highlight of the evening, no question, was David Cook, aka AI winner. This guy can sing...and, in the girls' words, "he's hot"! The crowd just went crazy over Cookie {as Brooke White called him}; it really was amazing and touching to see thousands of people going wild over their hometown star. To think only a year ago he was just a "regular joe" and now, everybody loves DC with the AC guitar!
