Apparently Mother Nature decided my family needed a break from the television & computer. Because, during a storm the other day, our house got struck by lightning. Luckily, it didn't start a fire. The house is fine. My family is fine. But, there were some casualties: the satellite dish, the modem to the computers, a garage door opener, and our landscape lights..all got fried. Remember that old commercial where the catchphrase was "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature"? Well, this time, Mother Nature wasn't fooling and she wasn't very nice! I can only hope lightning doesn't strike the same place twice.

Mother Nature can be so cruel but at least noone was hurt and you're all safe xxx

oh my goodness Leah! Our house was also struck by lightning. Needless to say, we purchased several surge protectors after that...
